How do I care for my Jewellery?

Megan Kathleen Jewellery is made with 925 Sterling Silver and 14k Gold Filled, and some pieces have pearls & semi precious gemstones.

Remove before showering and swimming.

Avoid contact with perfumes, lotions & harsh chemicals.

Some pieces you can use warm soapy water & a soft toothbrush. Brush gently, rinse thoroughly & dry well. PEARLS ARE EXEMPT FROM THIS METHOD.

DO NOT put any pearls or gemstones in silver cleaner. Simply wipe over with a soft jewellery cloth to clean.

To keep jewellery from tarnishing, regularly clean your piece with polishing cloth (included) & wrap your jewellery in a soft cloth & or acid free paper (included) & put in your beautiful MKJ pouch. 

Why is some of the jewellery handmade to order?

After a conscious decision we decided to only hand make pieces of jewellery to order, which allows me to reduce wastage.

All jewellery is handmade to order in our studio in Brisbane, Australia.

Some of the pieces are originals 

From time to time i will create bespoke pieces and put them up on the website for sale. I will only create one off pieces and once sold, its sold hence being an bespoke. it will state bespoke!

How long does it take to hand make my jewellery?

It can take up to 7 days making time + shipping . We do not offer express shipping as all jewellery is handmade to order.

otherwise stated as a bespoke piece, being its already made, it will be posted with priority, but please understand all jewellery is posted with standard postage via Australia post with tracking inclusive.

I have received my order and realised I ordered incorrectly. Can I change my order?

Unfortunately as we cannot guarantee that the piece hasn't been worn, we are unable to exchange your order due to hygienic reasons.

Can I return my order?

We highly recommend that you double check your order prior to checking out as we do not accept returns for incorrect choice. If however your jewellery arrives faulty or damaged, please email megan@megankathleenjewellery.com.au within 7 days from the receipt of your order. We will then inspect the fault/damage, if deemed faulty/damaged we will provide you with a full refund excluding postage.
