Megan's Story
I was born in Townsville QLD. My father a wholesaler and mother a former nurse, it was from the love that my mum and dad had for beautiful things which came the love affair of jewellery. My father would buy the most desirable pieces for my mother. He definitely had an eye for design, elegance and workmanship! My mum was very spoilt! Mum to this day tells me the stories behind every piece, the where and when's. So romantic!
My Calling
Before I became a silversmith, I was a beauty therapist & was the owner/operator of a beauty salon in Townsville in the early 1990's called 'Beautifully You.' So I can safely say I've always worked with my hands!
Fast forward to 2016 and having raised my now three grown children, I was at a cross roads as to what to do next and found an amazing school that teaches silversmithing and there I was at peace and knew right there and then this was my calling. To be creative again and work with my hands! It was the best decision I ever made.
I have been hand crafting my line of jewellery online as 'Megan Kathleen Jewellery' since 2018 from my home studio located in Brisbane, Australia.
Elegance & Heart
I wanted to share my love for jewellery, by creating beautiful pieces, that I have designed with a classical & contemporary feel in mind. Each piece should be classic, elegant with a touch of romance!
